Open Day – Sunday 9th June

A big thank you to all who took part and especially to our guest visitors.

To our guests we hope you enjoyed our sport and had a great time. We now look forward to seeing you in the very near future. Please remember you are always welcome to join us on our club days (Mondays and Wednesdays 2pm to 4pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays 6pm to 8pm), and that we offer 3 free introductory sessions when help and tuition is available. There is no particular dress code but flat-soled are a requirement.

To our attending members we hope you too enjoyed the afternoon, and hearty thanks for helping out and providing the snacks and refreshments which were well appreciated. The feedback of the day confirms ‘we are a friendly and welcoming club’.

To the winners of the two competitions of the day well done and many congratulations.

Judging by the cheers and laughter on the side-line both competitions became spectator sports in their own right. However after 3 hours of intense competition the champions emerged displaying remarkable skills.

In the ‘longest run hoop competition’ we ran out of lawn and the amazing winning shot – 25.3 meters – was powered through the hoop from off the lawn in the long grass. Simon, simply incredible, congratulations.

The ‘longest scoring jump shot’ was no less amazing as the ball was launched through the hoop from no less than 6.3 meters – Henry, truly a sight to behold, congratulation.
